The Bible calls us to love one another , just as God loved us. That can be hard when we may not have experienced love in our own lives. Trying to show love to others on our own can lead to failure, but loving with the love of God will lead to success!
Here are five principles about relationships from this week's message
1. When people have profound experiences , they want to share them with others.
2. An encounter with God is a profound experience.
3. Those who live close to God find that their love for others is always increasing!
4. Love eliminates fear.
5. We can love others because God first loved us!
1 John 4: 7-10 (Message version )
My beloved friends, let us continue to love each other since love comes from God. Everyone who loves is born of God and experiences a relationship with God. The person who refuses to love doesn't know the first thing about God, because God is love—so you can't know him if you don't love. This is how God showed his love for us: God sent his only Son into the world so we might live through him. This is the kind of love we are talking about—not that we once upon a time loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to clear away our sins and the damage they've done to our relationship with God.
That is the true essence of love, that it is done without expected anything in return. That is the example that God gave to us, He sent His son Jesus for us to save us from our sins, even before we knew it , God loved us first!
